Good

The Bruins were not doing too well up until last night when they shut out the Ottawa Senators 2-0. Before that game they were struggling and were on a 4 game losing streak, which sucks big time. It was starting the depressing feelings again and it made it not fun to watch them play because they had lost 4 in a row and when I turned the game on last night i thought they were going to lose again. It was kind of a boring game because the first two periods were scoreless, defensive periods. Then the 3rd period came and the Bruins came out flying around the ice. Pressuring the puck, throwing their weight around, hitting people hard, and controlling the tempo like they should always do. Then their first goal came when Sean Thorton stole the puck and threw it on net and we got a lucky rebound and Patrice Bergeron banged it in for the goal. Then Marco Sturm added a goal late to make it 2-0 and that's how the game ended. Let's see if they can keep the momentum going this Wednesday at 7 pm as they take on the Atlanta Thrashers at home.

Big Night Too

Tonight is just as big of a night for the Bruins as it is for the Celtics. The Bruins are trying to get a much needed win under their belt after they lost their last 2 straight games. The Celtics are trying to push their winning streak to 11 games and give them moment into the Christmas showdown. What sucks the most about these two games is that I can’t watch them tonight! I have a basketball game of my own at 7 pm tonight against our rival Amesbury Indians at home. I may be able to catch the end of the Bruins because they don’t start till 8:30 pm tonight but the Celtics are at 7. Who knows I may get home to catch the end of both games. I really hope I do because it would be depressing if I missed both of the games. Anyway let's see how my teams play out. Hopefully they both get the wins they need. Check the blog for updates after the Bruins games tonight.

Need a Win

The Bruins have lost 2 in a row. They lost to the New York Islanders on Saturday and lost to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday. They lost 3-1 to the Flyers. It was a bad lose because they really didn’t play very well all game. They played ok during the first period but after that they broke down. They need to get back to their game and their tempo and control the flow of the game and get more control of the puck. They also need to cool it with all the penalties and getting guys in the box. That's what is killing them, penalties. Then they get on the disadvantage and that's when the other teams take advantage. Let’s see if they can get back on the right track this Friday when they travel to Illinois to take on the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30 pm.

Doing Much Better

The Bruins won the double-header by beating the Toronto Maple Leafs again by a score of 5-2. Then that Saturday they went into New York to play the Islanders and ended up losing 3-2 in overtime. They improved their overall record to 16-9-6, home record to 10-5-3, and their away record 6-4-3 and moved to 7th place in the Eastern Conference and 2nd place in the Northeast Division. Let’s see if they can bring home 2 big points tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers and get in a tie for first place with the Buffalo Sabres .

Finish of The Double-Header

The Bruins are finishing off their double header against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight at 7pm. Now I say it's a double header because a couple nights ago the Bruins faced off with the Leafs and won that game 7-2. Let's see if they can sweep the Maple Leafs and be on a 2 game winning streak. Like I said before, it feels good to be a Boston sports fan right now because the Bruins are finally playing how they should have been all season, and the Celtics are ripping up the Eastern Conference.

Where Has This Been All Season!?!

The Boston Bruins are rapidly improving their game and their standings. Last week they were 10-8-3, and after the last 7 games or so they have gone to 15-9-4. They moved from 18th place in the league to 10th place in the league. They also moved from 8th place in the conference to 4th place in the conference. Lastly they moved from 4th place in their division to 1st place, finally. This is where they should have been the whole time. Their division isn't hard at all so they should have been in first place to start the season. They are typical Bruins though; always waiting till people start to lose faith and lose interest, and then they turn it on. The Bruins are like one great big drama queen! They love the drama of hockey and the torment that they put their fans through. The bruins love their fans though, and a true Bruins fan will always love the Bruins; like I do. So thank god for them turning it on now because finally the people of Boston and anyone in Massachusetts who likes hockey finally has something else to cheer for besides the surging Celtics. It's finally okay to be a Bruins fan again because now it is getting interesting and it isn't embarrassing to watch them lose every night because they are not losing anymore. Let's see if they can keep the ball rolling in their next game on December 10th at 7 pm against their hated rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs . Which remind you is the team they traded Phil Kessel to; who was their star player of last season.
